Ligurian-Style Pizza
Inspired by the Liguria region of Italy, this pizza features a roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, thin-sliced Italian salami, olives and chili-marinated pineapple.
Ingredients
1 (14 to 16 inch) thin pizza crust, partially cooked
4 oz thinly-sliced Italian salami
⅔ cup Nicoise olives, pitted
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Roasted Garlic Olive Oil
1 roasted head of garlic, pureed
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
Chili-Marinated Pineapple
½ cup DOLE Tropical Gold Pineapple Pizza Wedges
1 cup olive oil
2 Tbsp chili flakes
Directions
Chili-Marinated Pineapple
- Place the pineapple, olive oil and chili flakes in a prep pan and allow to marinate 1-2 hours or overnight.
Roasted Garlic Olive Oil
- In a small bowl, whisk pureed garlic and olive oil until smooth.
Ligurian-Style Pizza
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Brush roasted garlic oil evenly over the base.
- Evenly cover the base with the sliced salami, marinated pineapple, and olives.
- Cover the toppings with cheese and bake 5-6 minutes, until golden brown.
