Jackfruit Carnitas Pizza
The perfect balance of sweet, spicy and savory come together in this plant-forward pizza.
Ingredients
6 oz DOLE® Shredded Young Green Jackfruit, drained
2 tsp carnitas seasoning
5 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 – 12” pizza crust
6 oz pizza sauce
½ oz red onion, thinly sliced
3 oz DOLE Pineapple Tidbits, drained
1 oz fresh jalapeños, sliced
Directions
- Preheat oven to 500°F. Mix jackfruit and carnitas seasoning in a bowl and set aside.
- Break up mozzarella and put on paper towels to drain.
- In a skillet, add oil and sauté jackfruit for 10 minutes, breaking up any large pieces. Edges should be crisp. Set aside to cool.
- Take pizza crust and add spread pizza sauce evenly across crust. Cover with torn mozzarella.
- Top with onions, pineapple, jackfruit, and jalapeños.
- Bake in oven at 500°F for 15-20 minutes.
