Banana and Cabbage Salad with Sesame

Ingredients

⅔ cup sugar

⅔ cup cider vinegar

¼ cup sesame oil

¾ tsp. salt

½ tsp. ground black pepper

6 cups finely shredded green cabbage

3 cups DOLE Chef-Ready Cuts Sliced Bananas partial thawed

1-½ cups DOLE Pitted Dates halved

½ cup sunflower seeds

⅓ cup sliced green onions

¼ cup sesame seeds toasted

Directions

  1. Whisk together sugar, cider vinegar, sesame oil, salt and pepper in a small sauce pan. Simmer on low 3 to 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. Combine cabbage, bananas, dates, green onions, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in a large bowl. Toss with desired dressing to coat.
