Tangy Cran Apple Crisp
A tasty cranberry-apple dessert.
Ingredients
5 cups frozen DOLE IQF Sliced Apples
1-½ cups frozen DOLE Cranberries
1 cup DOLE Seedless Raisins
⅓ cup DOLE 100% Pineapple Juice
½ cup packed brown sugar
1-½ tsp ground cinnamon divided
½ tsp ground nutmeg divided
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup quick cooking oats
¼ cup whole wheat flour
¼ cup butter cut into small pieces
¼ cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Combine apples, cranberries, raisins, juice, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg in 9x9-inch baking dish sprayed with vegetable cooking spray.
- Blend together in a separate bowl remaining 1/4 cup brown and granulated sugar, oats, flour and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
- Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives to dry ingredients until mixture is crumbly. Mix in walnuts and sprinkle over fruit.
- Bake at 350ºF, 45 minutes or until topping is brown. Cool slightly and serve topped with fat free frozen yogurt, if desired.
