Shrunken Skull

Dole Chef Ready Strawberry Puree with dark spiced rum, bitter orange & tropical flavors.

INGREDIENTS:

1-1/2 ounces dark spiced rum
1/2 ounce Italian bitter orange aperitif
1-1/2 ounces DOLE® Chef-Ready Frozen Strawberry Puree
1 ounce Fresh Agave Sour (recipe below)
1 ounce DOLE Pineapple Juice
1 dash grapefruit bitters
orange peel and sliced strawberry, for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add rum, bitter orange aperitif, strawberry puree, agave sour, and pineapple juice into shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into glass with ice. Top with bitters. Garnish and serve.
  2. Fresh Agave Sour: Stir together 1-1/2 cups agave nectar, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 1 cup fresh lime juice and 1 cup water in large container, until blended.  Keep refrigerated.  Makes about 4-1/2 cups.
