Blueberry Smoothie

A delicious and healthy way to beat the heat.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup DOLE Chef-Ready Cuts Sliced Bananas
2 cups frozen DOLE Blueberries divided
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
1/2 cup apple juice
1 container (6 oz.) lemon yogurt
6 ice cubes made from lemonade
2 tbsp. honey

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine frozen banana, 1 cup frozen blueberries and ginger in blender.  Cover; blend until finely chopped.  Add apple juice and yogurt; blend to combine.  Add lemonade ice cubes; blend until slushy.   
  2. Add rest of blueberries and blend until well mixed.  Taste smoothie and sweeten with honey, if desired.
