Sumac Strawberry Flatbread

A tasty open-faced sandwich.

2 8-inch pita bread, toasted
1 avocado, pitted, peeled, mashed
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 cup frozen DOLE® Sliced Strawberries, partially thawed
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons ground sumac
as desired microgreens
as desired coarse sea salt
as desired freshly ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Place pita breads in oven for 7 minutes to toast throughout. Remove and allow to cool. 
  3. Mash avocado in a small mixing bowl, and season with salt and pepper as desired.
  4. Top each pita with 1/2 cup of crumbled feta, 1/2 cup of sliced Strawberries, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and 1 tablespoon of sumac.
  5. Finish with optional garnishes and serve immediately.
