Sumac Strawberry Flatbread
A tasty open-faced sandwich.
INGREDIENTS:
2 8-inch

pita bread, toasted

avocado, pitted, peeled, mashed

1 cup

crumbled feta cheese
|
1 cup

frozen DOLE® Sliced Strawberries, partially thawed
|
2 tablespoons
|
fresh lime juice
|
2 tablespoons
|
ground sumac
|
as desired
|
microgreens
|
as desired
|
coarse sea salt
|
as desired
|
freshly ground black pepper
|
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
Place pita breads in oven for 7 minutes to toast throughout. Remove and allow to cool.
- Mash avocado in a small mixing bowl, and season with salt and pepper as desired.
- Top each pita with 1/2 cup of crumbled feta, 1/2 cup of sliced Strawberries, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and 1 tablespoon of sumac.
- Finish with optional garnishes and serve immediately.
