Brambleberry Mulled Wine
A medley of strawberries, blueberries and dark sweet cherries are simmered in a mulled wine infused with warm spices of cinnamon, clove, ginger and cardamom.

2 Tablespoons | Green cardamom pods, cracked |
6 Tablespoons | Ginger, whole, ⅛” slices |
1.5 liters | Shiraz |
3 cups | Apple cider |
2 cups | DOLE® Chef-Ready Blackberry Frozen Purée, thawed |
2 cups | Frozen DOLE Whole Blueberries |
4 cups | Frozen DOLE Dark Sweet Cherries |
2 cups | DOLE Chef-Ready Cuts Diced Strawberries |
Brambleberry Mulled Wine Directions:
- In a large sauce pot, combine whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, green cardamom pods, ginger, Shiraz, apple cider and blackberry purée. Bring to a low simmer over low heat.
- Let mixture simmer for 10 minutes; remove from heat.
- In a large pitcher, add frozen blueberries, cherries and diced strawberries. Using a strainer, pour mulled wine over frozen berries to cool rapidly.
- Place beverage in refrigerator to cool completely.
TO SERVE:
- Pour 8-12 fl. oz. in a microwavable container.
- Warm 1-2 minutes on high; stir and serve.
