We’ve taken every step to ensure the continued functioning of our facilities and to protect the continuity of our supply chain.
All production facilities continue to remain open and operational. We continue to meet all FDA food and safety regulations and sanitation practices, while taking additional precautions to ensure all common areas are continuously cleaned and disinfected. As an added precaution, all staff are being screened with temperature checks prior to entering facilities.
In addition, we continue to educate our employees on healthy behavior. All employees are required to comply with these standards.
FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS: Smoothie Service: Through our partnerships with Robeks, Tropical Smoothie Café and Smoothie King, we are helping provide front line healthcare workers with in-hospital delivery of free, freshly made smoothies.
FOR THOSE IN NEED: Through our sustaining partnership with World Central Kitchen founded by José Andrés, we’re distributing Dole Fruit products to meal prep centers in underserved areas.
OUR LYFTING FRUIT TO SENIORS PROGRAM: in partnership with Lyft, distributes Dole Fruit products to nursing homes and assisted living centers in underserved areas around the Seattle metro area and is expanding to the New York/New Jersey areas.
According to the CDC, there is currently no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with food, and there is likely very low risk of spread from food products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient, refrigerated or frozen temperatures.
We are following the CDC’s guidelines closely, which include stringent hygiene practices for our staff and any visitors to our facilities.
Please see the CDC’s website for further information on how you can protect your staff.
