Bringing global flavors to K-12 menus is taking off with exotic dishes from across the globe. This year, visitors at SNA-ANC had a chance to to see Chef Jet Tila demo some delicious Asian-Inspired concepts including Korean BBQ Beef
Chef Tila has visited several school districts in his career, and one insight he shared in an interview with
School Nutrition Magazine is how menu diversity can impact students. He noticed that by offering meals that
honored the ethnicity and culture of the diverse student body, it not only brought comfort to those that related
to the dishes, but opened the eyes of those who were unfamiliar with the dish to a new type of cuisine.*
