Peach Hummus Bowl with Black Garlic and Basil

A fruity hummus flavored with black garlic and basil.

3 cups water
1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans, drained
1/2 cup DOLE® Chef-Ready Frozen Peach Puree, divided
1 clove (or 1 teaspoon) black garlic
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon agave nectar
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup DOLE Chef-Ready Cuts Diced Peaches, partially thawed


  1. Combine water and garbanzo beans in a medium pot over medium-high heat.  Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.  Cook for 7 minutes.
  2. Drain beans and add to food processor.  Remove 1 tablespoon peach puree and set aside for garnish.  Add remaining 7 tablespoons peach puree, garlic, basil, olive oil, lemon juice, and agave nectar to food processor.  Cover; process until smooth.  Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Fold in diced peaches and garnish with remaining 1 tablespoon peach puree.
