Chinese Apple Ginger Cocktail

INGREDIENTS:

2 oz. DOLE® Chef-Ready Cuts Diced Apples, thawed
1 fresh ginger slice (1 inch)
2 oz. Fresh Agave Sour (recipe below)
3/4 oz. blood orange-flavored vodka
1/2 oz. caramel-flavored vodka
1-1/2 oz. ginger ale
candied ginger slice

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Muddle diced apples and ginger slice in shaker.
  2. Pour fresh agave sour, blood orange vodka and caramel vodka into shaker with apples and ginger.  Add ice; shake vigorously.  Strain loosely into glass with ice.  Top with ginger ale; garnish with candied ginger slice.
  3. Fresh Agave Sour: Combine 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 1 cup fresh lime juice, 1 cup water and 1-1/2 cups agave nectar in 1/2 gallon container.  Whisk to stir completely.  Store chilled.  Shake well before use.  Makes about 1 quart.

    Variation: Omit blood orange vodka and caramel vodka for a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage.
