Ginger Mandarin Sauce

Lovely dessert sauce that works as a topping for any dessert.

6 lb. 10 oz (1 (#10) can) DOLE® Tropical Fruit Salad
24 oz (3 cups) orange juice
11 oz (1-1/2 cups) granulated sugar
2.5 oz (1/2 cup) cornstarch
3 oz (3/4 cup) chopped candied ginger
3 tbsp grated orange peel
6 lb. 10 oz (1 (#10) can) DOLE Mandarin Oranges, drained


  1. Blend until smooth reserved juice, orange juice, sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Cook, stirring until sauce boils and thickens. Cool slightly. Stir in ginger and orange peel.
  3. Combine tropical fruit salad, mandarin oranges and sauce. Use as a sauce, serving warm or room temperature over ice cream or pound cake.
