Date Oatmeal Cookies

Classic oatmeal cookies with a twist.

1 lb 2 oz (2-1/2 cups) butter, softened
2 lb (6 cups) packed brown sugar
2 lb 4 oz (4-1/2 cups) DOLE® Bananas, ripe, mashed
1 lb 2 oz (approx. 9) egg(s)
3 tbsp vanilla extract
2 lb 12 oz (8-1/2 cups) DOLE Chopped Dates
2 lb 12 oz (8-1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
1 lb 4 oz (6 cups) quick cooking oats
3 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp baking powder


  1. Beat butter and sugar until well blended.
  2. Stir in bananas, eggs and vanilla; beat until well blended.
  3. Combine flour, dates, oats, cinnamon and baking powder in separate bowl; mix well.  Add to butter mixture; stir just until moistened.
  4. Portion cookies onto greased or parchment lined sheet pans using a #40 scoop.
  5. Bake at 375ºF., 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are firm and bottoms are browned; cool on rack.  Store in airtight container.
